Ryan Hood

Ryan is currently Senior R&D Director at ECOS. He has worked in development functions for nearly 30 years in the areas of consumer and professional cleaning products, personal absorbent articles, EPA and FDA regulated products including disinfectants, hand sanitizers, and wet wipes. Much of his work has focused on producing safer and better products for people, as well as for the environment. Ryan worked on the first large-scale corporate entry into more green and natural products with the consumer launch of the Green Works line from Clorox, and also developed concentrates of those products for professional applications. While at ECOS, Ryan has worked on new products and launches including highly concentrated liquid laundry detergent, laundry and automatic dishwasher packs, laundry detergent sheets, and new foaming dish sprays. Ryan is passionate about developing products, packaging, and practices that address ecological concerns, health and human safety concerns, and continuous improvement, with a focus on striving to provide a fantastic user experience with affordable products.
