James Kim

Jim is the Senior Vice President of Science & Regulatory Affairs at the American Cleaning Institute. In addition to leading the Technical (Science/Regulatory) Department, his areas of responsibility are the toxicology, human safety and efficacy of topical antiseptics and cleaning products, including research, regulatory affairs, and outreach. Prior to joining ACI in 2018, Jim was a Senior Toxicologist at the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs (OIRA) [Office of Management and Budget (OMB), Executive Office of the President (EOP)] where he served as the scientific lead on interagency reviews of regulations, regulatory actions, and human health risk assessments.  

Jim has a Master’s degree in Immunology and a Doctorate in Toxicology from the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health.  He has been a Diplomate of the American Board of Toxicology since 2007 and was admitted as a Fellow of the Academy of Toxicological Sciences this past spring.
